Catalog Description : Examination of the psychology of prejudice. Readings and discussions cover general theories of prejudice as well as the dynamics of specific types of prejudice (e.g., racism, sexism). The specific areas covered may shift from year to year.

Topic for Fall 2011: Bad Romance: Sex and Sexism
An examination of the intersection between sex (heterosexual romance) and sexism. This seminar will explore how heterosexuality shapes and reinforces traditional gender roles and power differences.
