Catalog Description : The aim of this course is to look at the history of Arab-American experience through literature, literary theory, and pop-culture. This course will chronicle the history and development of Arab experiences in the U. S. over a century (1880s-present). The course will also employ an interdisciplinary approach to examine the immigrants' contributions, self-view, challenges, and society's views of them. PREREQUISITES: Sophomore standing
