Catalog Description : After covering relevant fundamentals in Greek philosophy (Aristotle and Plato), we will proceed to later philosophers, both Greek (the Neoplatonists) and Islamic (Ibn Sina, Suhrawardi), whose work inherits the same methods and questions, Our special focus will be questions about philosophical method, the soul, and mystical experience. PREREQUISITES: Sophomore standing
