Provides an introduction to the history, geography and politics of the Middle East. General themes include the historical timeline, geographic characteristics, and political systems of the region. Additionally, students will pair primary source materials with traditional secondary texts to study specific thematic components such as terrorism, religion, and gender. (G&C)
