Prerequisites/Notes: MATH 310 and MATH 440 Catalog Description : The development and study of statistical theory. Topics include sampling distributions, point and interval estimation, significance tests, categorical data analysis, bootstrap methods and permutation tests, and, time permitting, regression analysis and analysis of variance. Class meetings are a mixture of lecture, discussion, and use of statistical software to analyze real-world case studies and to investigate computer-intensive statistical methods.
