Prerequisites/Notes: BIOL 140 or BIOL 150 Catalog Description : Students will examine and compare the complex life cycles of a variety of parasites, including those of medical and veterinary importance. Specific topics covered within the course will include: parasite biochemistry, ecology, parasite evasion of the host immune system, host immune responses, and host behavior. The laboratory component of the course will include both live and preserved specimens. PREREQUISITES: BIOL 150 Attributes: GER NS Lab Course, 200-399 Foundation/Gateway Crs
