Catalog Description : This course will introduce students to a pioneering interdisciplinary field. American Studies employs the disciplines of history, literature, politics, religion, art, music, film, and architecture, among others, to integrate a host of American experiences, examining “America”  as a place, a nation, a symbol, a stereotype, and a culture. (NA) PREREQUISITES: Sophomore standing or above
