Catalog Description : This course will examine writings by both men and women that reflect on the changing social roles for women in eighteenth-century Britain. Focusing on women's labor, reproduction, reading, and writing, the course will consider to what extent women could participate in the project of the Enlightenment. PREREQUISITES: Junior standing, ENG 230, or consent of instructor
