Catalog Description : This course is based on close reading of a variety of life writing forms including coming-of-age narrative, testimonial, the reinvented self, and texts of self-healing. We focus on the ethics of narration (self-distortion, misrepresentation of others, etc.). Our study extends in some cases to cinematic self-representations.
