Catalog Description : This course serves as a transition from the language sequence to advanced courses in German literature and culture. Texts vary from novels to non-fiction, from drama to poetry, and from written forms to film. While familiarizing students with both literary and cultural analysis, the course stresses literature’s place in fostering an understanding of German society.
