Prerequisites/Notes: ART 100 or 110 Catalog Description : An introduction to the basic working methods of ceramics, including hand-building and wheel-throwing. Emphasis will be placed on conceptual development, sensitivity to three-dimensional form, and technical skills of surface and glazing. Lectures, readings, and individual research treat historical and contemporary approaches to expressive work in the ceramic medium.
