Prerequisites/Notes: CHEM 252 or consent of instructor Catalog Description : Bioorganic chemistry is the study of the organic chemistry underlying biological processes; topics such as the organic chemistry of metabolic processes and the laboratory synthesis of biomolecules will be covered. We will also study the organic chemistry of drug discovery and development, guided by both pharmaceutical case studies and modern medicinal chemistry literature.
