Prerequisites/Notes: Sophomore standing

Catalog Description : An examination of selected works from the so-called "New Atheism" movement. Modern thinkers like Dawkins and Hitchens have forcefully attacked the history, psychology, sociology, economics and ethics of religious belief. This course will utilize their works to investigate questions such as "Is religious belief unhealthy? Immature? Dangerous?"
