Catalog Description : This course focuses on the representation of the child in French and Francophone literature. We will examine the construction of childhood by looking at changing notions of innocence, ongoing debates about education, cultural narratives about becoming gendered, and individual narratives about assuming an identity. PREREQUISITES: One 400-level French course or consent of instructor
