Catalog Description : An introduction to rich artistic traditions of the Islamic world from the 7th century to the present, looking at architecture, illuminated manuscripts, metalwork, film, and more. Topics include the role of art in Islam, the relationship between art and power, and the importance of cross-cultural exchange.
