Catalog Description : Offers theoretical frameworks for grappling with social constructions of sexuality alongside those of gender, class, race, and other identity categories. This class, like the field itself, uses the term “queer”  to designate not just people but also practices: it explores representational and interpretive strategies that highlight inconsistencies within our cultural models of sexuality, desire, and subjectivity.
