Catalog Description : Develops and explores theoretical methods and models for the quantum description of atoms and molecules as chemical systems; statistical methods that link the macroscopic and molecular levels of these descriptions are also explored, along with the treatment of deviations from equilibrium. No laboratory. PREREQUISITES: MATH 155, PHYS 150, CHEM 116; or consent of instructor
