Prerequisites/Notes: GEST 100 or consent of instructor Catalog Description : This course will focus on the history of women and feminism in Asia, with an emphasis on Indian and East Asian women's histories. Past and present religious, political, economic, and artistic thought and practices of women will be examined to analyse how they have responded to and resisted patriarchal cultures.
