Catalog Description : Through a variety of texts, in-class discussions, and written and oral assignments, students will develop a critical appreciation of science and technology not simply as objective endeavors governed by rationality, truth and efficiency, but rather as contested and politically embedded endeavors whose trajectory depends upon the influence of multiple users, competing ideologies, and unique historical and social circumstances.
