Catalog Description : An introduction to Modern Standard Arabic. After students learn the alphabet and the sound system, they will get acquainted with the basic skills of speaking, understanding, reading and writing Modern Standard Arabic. The course includes a strong cultural component, with such items as films and music. Not open to students who have completed UNIC 123.
