Winter Term 2018 Research Methods I - 1224 - PSYC 280

Prerequisites/Notes: Sophomore standing and previous or concurrent enrollment in one of MATH 107, ANTH 207, or BIOL 170

Catalog Description : The first course in a two-term sequence designed to introduce psychology majors to the principles of research design, data collection, data analysis, and research report writing. This term focuses on philosophy of science, the role of theory in research, and research design. Students design an empirical project to be executed during Research Methods II. Sequence should be taken in the sophomore year and in consecutive terms.
