Catalog Description : A survey of the evolution of clothing in Western Civilization as it reflects historical events and social culture from Ancient Greece to the Elizabethan England. Hands-on patterning and draping provides an immersive experience as we explore period silhouettes and techniques unique to each period. We will also explore representative plays and theatrical conventions from each period. Practicum in the costume shop in support of current productions is required. PREREQUISITES: THAR 137
