Catalog Description : This course will examine key events in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with special attention to the religious context, including themes such as sacred space, holy war, martyrdom, and messianism. These will be discussed in the context of 1948 and 1967 wars, Jewish settlers, the rise of Hamas, and Christian evangelism.
