Catalog Description : What is happiness and how is it achieved? This course will examine some core ideas of Buddhist philosophy of mind and investigate the ways in which they are being studied and employed by psychologists, neuroscientists, and cognitive scientists. In addition to course readings, students will be instructed in basic meditation practices and expected to keep a meditation practice for the duration of the course.
