Catalog Description : For centuries, dream interpretation has been integrated into philosophical discourse, used as a political tool, and touted as proof of otherworldly activities. This seminar will examine dream theories as products of socio-cultural development in different historical contexts, including ancient Greece, medieval Japan, early modern China, and the U.S. and Europe.
