Catalog Description :
This course examines social development with a particular focus on
gender issues. Topics include gender identity in intersection with other types of identity development (e.g., ethnicity), sex education, gender role socialization, sexual orientation development, and parenting.
Topic for Winter 2019: Gender and Social Development
Special emphasis is given to the development of gender identity, gender roles, and sexual orientation. Other topics include sex education, parenting, and LGBT youth risk and resilience.
