Prerequisites/Notes: PSYC 340, LING 150, or consent of instructor Catalog Description : Course examines how people know, produce, and understand language in all its diversity, using cognitive science and sociocultural approaches. Topics include first and second language learning of speech patterns, words, sentence structure, discourse rules, and the various social functions and expressions of language.
