Prerequisites/Notes: SPAN 202, its equivalent, or consent of the instructor Catalog Description : This course offers an introduction to linguistics based on data from Spanish. We study the sound system of Spanish, the structure of its words, and how its sentences are formed and interpreted. We also consider how Spanish has changed over time and how it differs depending on where it is spoken. Written assignments and exams.
