Prerequisites/Notes: One course in psychology or biology. Catalog Description : An interactive lecture course that explores basic neuroscience research techniques, experimental design, data analysis, scientific writing, laboratory safety, and ethical practices in animal research. During some lectures students perform mini-experiments in techniques ranging from behavioral assays to microscopy. Student work is assessed through exams, writing assignments, a short oral presentation, and participation. PREREQUISITES: One course in psychology or biology.
