Prerequisites/Notes: FREN 202 or consent of instructor. This is a hybrid course. However, students can opt to take the course 100% remotely for full credit. Catalog Description : French films function as a springboard for readings, discussions, oral presentations, and short critical essays. We will briefly examine the history of French film from 1940 to the present, study cinematic techniques, the vocabulary of cinema, and explore the principal themes.Fall 2020 Special Note: This course is designed in a synchronous hybrid format; students can take it entirely remotely or with in-person component (same number of credit hours and same content for both modes).
