Catalog Description :

Topic for Winter 2021: Comparative Politics and International Relations
This seminar is intended to help students conceptualize and complete a senior experience project. Readings from comparative politics and international relations will be used to model the various stages of, and approaches to, conducting research. There will be a particular emphasis on qualitative research methods, including interview techniques. Students will write an original research paper on the topic of their choice, ideally expanding a paper that they have previously written. Special attention will be paid to the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on our understanding of international, national, and human security.
