Catalog Description : This course will explore in-depth racial and ethnic differences in criminal involvment in the US.This will include examining police practices, policies, and laws and their impact on racial inequality in the criminal justice system. In this course we will analyze data, utilize different theoretical approaches to interpretting the data, and discuss current research regarding the ways race and ethnicity are intersected with the criminal justice system. PREREQUISITES: Sophomore standing or consent of instructor
