Catalog Description : A course designed to provide students an opportunity to study interdisciplinary approaches to art making and knowledge seeking. Topics will vary based on the faculty member's areas of expertise and interests. May be repeated for credit when topic is different.

Topic for Winter 2022: Found Footage
This course will explore the history and contemporary practice of found footage filmmaking through hands-on workshops, readings, screenings, discussion, and critique. Topics will include best practices in fair use, traditional 16mm film editing, video montage, rotoscoping and collage animation. Students will complete several short creative exercises and a final film/video project.
