Catalog Description : This class investigates intersections among people, arts, and the environment in European regions during the Middle Ages (c. 400-1400). Readings draw broadly from primary sources in translation, ecocritical studies, and environmental histories and dovetail with close examinations of images, objects, monuments, and sites across varied medieval landscapes.
