Prerequisites/Notes: MUCO 212 or MUCO 202 or ENST 127 or consent of instructor Catalog Description : In many societies around the world, people use music and specialized listening skills to connect with nature, specific places, and surrounding environments. This course will explore music performance practices that express or enact these connections. Course materials will draw on ethnographic case studies and the growing fields of ecomusicology, acoustic ecology, and zoomusicology.
