Catalog Description : This course explores the damaging effects of colonization and colonial patterns of representation on Native American people throughout history. It calls on students to produce creative interdisciplinary projects that engage with the community and offer more accurate, better-informed representations of Native American culture in the United States. Seminar/studio with readings by significant Native American authors and field trips to federally recognized tribal lands. PREREQUISITES: Sophomore standing or consent of instructor
