Prerequisites/Notes: Sophomore standing and one of GOVT 110 or GOVT 140 Catalog Description : This course provides an introduction to politics in less-developed countries, paying close attention to differences within the so-called “developing world” and the impact of economic realities on politics. In doing so, it addresses questions about the relationship between economic development and democracy and the impact of globalization on poor countries.
