Catalog Description : Examination of the psychology of prejudice. Readings and discussions cover general theories of prejudice as well as the dynamics of specific types of prejudice (e.g., racism, sexism). The specific areas covered may shift from year to year.

Topic for Fall 2022: Sex and Sexism
Prerequisites: PSYC 270 and 281, or consent of instructor
Examines the social psychology of gender, focusing on binary gender stereotypes and roles that emerge from power differences and indpendence between the sexes.
