Catalog Description : We will examine some of the hard ethical questions facing policymakers and individuals with respect to food production and distribution: How should government regulate our food choices? When, if ever, is it ethical to eat animals? Are there any moral reasons to favor local food producers? Is gluttony a moral fault? This course is designed for Philosophy and Environmental Studies majors to pursue research projects. Not open to students who have previously received credit for Philosophy 115.
