Prerequisites/Notes: ECON 100 Catalog Description : This course introduces students to money, banking, and financial markets. We will discuss topics including the functions of money, the monetary system, bank management, the behavior of financial markets, the term structure of interest rates, and the role of United States financial institutions. Students will read carefully, take regular quizzes and exams, and have the option to do a group or individual project for extra credit.
