Prerequisites/Notes: FREN 202 or consent of instructor Catalog Description : French films function as a springboard for readings, discussions, oral presentations, and short critical essays. We will briefly examine the history of French film from 1940 to the present, study cinematic techniques, the vocabulary of cinema, and explore the principal themes.
