To what extent should people be free to live, speak, interact, and employ property as they please? Should the scope of individual rights be defined by legal experts, majority rule, or something else? To what extent does American constitutional law guarantee such rights? Discussions with written assignments and/or exams and evaluations of class participation. PREREQUISITES: Sophomore standing
