Prerequisites/Notes: MATH 230 and MATH 250; or MATH 300 and consent of instructor Catalog Description : The study of groups, group actions, and important examples of finite and matrix groups. Specific topics will include group homomorphisms, quotient groups, isomorphism theorems, Lagrange's Theorem, the Orbit- Stabilizer Theorem, and the Sylow Theorems.
