How has climate change impacted past individuals and societies, what can archaeological evidence reveal about these interactions, and how does the archaeological record of human-environment interactions help us today? In the class we will explore these questions and the intersection of climate change and archaeology by delving into methods of paleoclimate reconstruction, exploring theory for understanding their effects on past people by engaging in active research, and using these insights to provide lessons on how the past can inform the future.
