Catalog Description : This course follows GER 202. The study of literature requires imagination and creativity as much as analysis and interpretation. This course is a writing-intensive seminar, in which students create their own literary texts based on prominent literary models. The focus is to analyze German literature, learn the characteristics of the three major literary genres (prose, drama, poetry) and demonstrate knowledge of the characteristics by writing short texts in these genres independently and effectively. Additionally, students continue working on grammar review and building their vocabulary. Prerequisite: GER 202 or consent of instructor PREREQUISITES: GER 202 or consent of instructor
