Prerequisites/Notes: Sophomore standing Catalog Description : This course surveys the history of Great Britain from the political upheavals of 1688 to the present day. Emphasis will be on broad political and economic themes: imperialism, the development of parliamentary democracy, and the growth of modern industrial capitalism.
