Prerequisites/Notes: ECON 100 AND sophomore standing OR Consent of Instructor Catalog Description : This course explores the theory and practice of natural resource governance across five interconnected focus areas: the pivotal role of governance in the clean energy transition, the influence of politics, power, and state capture, the critical role of investors and investment, the potential repression of civil society, and the interplay between international and local actors. Special attention is given to corporate social responsibility and how it shapes the prioritization of stakeholder interests. The course will be based on a lecture/discussion model and include a group project.
