Catalog Description : This course examines theories and experiences of race, class, gender, and sexuality that shape public and private lives. Themes include racialized sexualization; gendered participation in labor, politics, and social reform; the intersections of class, race, and gender; changing meanings of femininity, masculinity, sex, gender, and sexuality; trends in sexual expression, gender presentation, sex work, reproduction, and family formation; and feminist and other gender-equity movements. PREREQUISITES: Sophomore standing or consent of instructor
