Catalog Description : A course teaching the practical skills of doing history. Emphasis is on acquiring techniques historians use for research, source interpretation, and presentation. Using materials appropriate to a theme that changes from year to year, students will discover how to do a thorough bibliographical search of all major genres of historical works, to find and interpret primary sources, and master the basic historical essay.
