Prerequisites/Notes: Any 100-level ART course or sophomore standing or consent of instructor Catalog Description : Via art exercises, lectures, readings, etc. this course is a look at the strange, complicated, and sometimes oblique relationship that exists between art and money. An inside view into how art is produced and sold, we will examine the symbiotic and confrontational relationships that exists between aesthetics and economics to consider the way money operates in contemporary art as a source and symbol of power.
